Small loose-leaf type white cabbage is a fast-growing vegetable with a short stem. The leaves are tightly packed and overlap in several layers to form a head. The head is round and leaves are thick, crisp and light green in color. White cabbage is commonly eaten as a fresh vegetable or used in salads and clear soups, or fried. They are more heat-tolerant than other Chinese cabbage and require less care in transportation.
