V.M.C. Building Glass

In the construction sector, building designs and materials are continuously being improved. Twenty-five years ago, the window frames of most commercial buildings were made of wood or iron. At that time, V.M.C. began the manufacture of safety glass for automobiles, which was widely accepted.

The company foresaw the need for the use of safety glass in construction, so it diversified into a new product line - safety glass for buildings, such as laminated glass and double-glazed glass. The company used modern machinery which was a tempered stove with a force convection system to manufacture this kind of glass. Later, more high-rise buildings were constructed and the aluminum frames for doors and windows were replaced by curtain walls, which make buildings more attractive and more modern as well as allow more light to enter, creating a comfortable atmosphere. The glass itself has been improved so that it reduces or reflects the amount of heat entering the building; however, its use is limited by the environment.
