Small Wind Power Systems-Southwest Windpower Air-Breeze

The Air-breeze is the new version of Air-X turbine, which was sold more than 49,000 times around the world. The most dramatic change of the new Air Breeze version is the revised power rating. SWWP adopted new international for Performance, Safety and Noise Emissions standards for all their products.

This newly adapted IEC 61400-2 standard calculates power curves under a "one-minute average" in contrast to the past at which most small wind turbines have been rated under a "one-second average" or "instantaneous" measurement standard.

Special features
The Air-breeze is available in 12 - 24 V. For applications in maritime climates, the Air-Breeze Marine, which was specially designed for this purpose, is recommended. A special model also exists for use under extreme conditions in the form of the Air-Breeze Industrial. The Air-Breeze is equipped with a rectifier and charge controller technology. The microprocessor-controlled controller governs voltage regulation, Peak Power Tracking, low noise emissions and the stall controller for use in strong winds. Air-Breeze systems are equipped with a voltage boost function, which allows the system to achieve its charge voltage at much lower speeds. Tower kits are available for all Air-Breeze models.
