Source - USA, Burma, China and Pakistan. Small sizes (below five carats) are found in Arizona, USA. Fine large peridots are found in Burma.

Description - Peridot is a stone with a sparkling pale green color. It occurs in lime, yellowish green, olive green or medium dark green hues.
It was originally found on Egypt's St. John's Island once known as Topazios, in the Red Sea, which is now known as Zeberget. It is also found in Burma, Sri Lanka, USA and Norway. Because their hardness is lower than 7, they are not ideal for use in rings, and should be treated with reasonable care.
